Bug Report: App forgets agency and notification settings (v3.1.1)

A bug in PulsePoint v3.1.1 for iOS can cause the app to appear to lose its agency and notification settings. If you experience this condition the steps below should explain and resolve it.

  1. The app incorrectly displays the You aren’t following any agencies yet screen (fig. 1) when loss of network connectivity occurs.
  2. Once the app enters this state it never again attempts to re-establish connectivity. This creates the appearance that the settings have been lost.
  3. To correct this condition press the Home button twice to see preview screens of the apps you have open (fig. 2). Quit the PulsePoint app by swiping it up and out of preview.
  4. The app should now function normally and your settings will again display properly.

Bug Report: App hangs at splash screen (v3.1.1)

A bug in PulsePoint v3.1.1 for iOS can cause the app to freeze at the splash screen (fig. 1). If you experience this condition the steps below should resolve it.

  1. Go to Settings | Notification Center
  2. Notifications for PulsePoint will appear under the heading DO NOT INCLUDE (fig. 2).
  3. Select PulsePoint. Make sure the ALERT STYLE is not set to None (fig. 3). Choose either the Banners style or the Alerts style.
  4. Turn notifications on by sliding the Show in Notification Center button under ALERTS (fig. 3). It should now appear green.
  5. The app should now function normally. Once the app has properly loaded you can go back and again suppress notifications if you desire.
