RapidSOS adds NEAR Registry integration, empowering telecommunicators to guide callers to nearby AEDs

The RapidSOS Unite platform provides emergency telecommunicators with immediate access to AEDs and lifesaving resources near the precise location of a 911 caller.

Sudden cardiac arrest is far more survivable when a bystander uses an AED before EMS arrives, but most people don't know where the nearest one is in the moment — especially callers who are panicked or in an unfamiliar location. 911 telecommunicators guiding callers to nearby AEDs can improve outcomes, but that requires emergency communication centers to have immediate access to AED locations during call handling.

RapidSOS is answering that need with a live integration with the National Emergency AED + Resource (NEAR) Registry. Emergency telecommunicators using RapidSOS Unite can now surface NEAR Registry data mid-call, as part of their familiar workflow. See it in action here.
